Chennai rated India’s cleanliest city!
According to this news item:
The Lifebuoy Swastha Chetna City Meter has rated Chennai the cleanliest city among top six metros of the country. Bangalore and Kolkata have finished a close second and third respectively in the overall cleanliness perception ranking.
LOL!
And according to this:
The major determining factors of the study included greenery and plantations, clean roads, availability of dustbins in public places and efficiency of the garbage disposal system.
ROTFL!
Hadn’t laughed so much in quite sometime! Phew!
Btw, The Lifebuoy Swastha Chetna City Meter – who?
The idea of searching “cleanliest city” in India itself is stupid.
Mee too … ha ha ha.
That was real fun. ;-)
God!Save me!I can’t stop laughing!
does it mean most of tamilians use lifebuoy, now I could understand why Tamilians are so shiny!
may be the news item was supposed to be released on April 1…
i agree with yogesh.
Ha, maybe when the study is sponsored by Mysore Sandalwood Soap, Mysore will emerge the cleanest city, eh, mysorean?
If they would have seen the Marina & Elliot beaches and T-Nagar area… it must be our time in which place chennai would be.
ROTFL!!!! chennai? please… with all those open drains? too much! :))))))
Joke of the year… ROTFL.. ha ha ha…
Or is there another place/city in India by same name ;)
Yogesh:

S.Ganesh Kumar:

Sunil:
God knows what tamilians use!
Rk:
True! Hmm… worth a thought actually! :D
Raj:
Heh heh.. I really don’t know. Maybe maybe.
Jeevan:
Yes. Very true. Maybe they went only to the Secretariat and Karunanidhi’s house and came back! :D
Shark:
Time to dispel a few myths here!:D
1. There are no drains in Chennai – open or closed! :D
2. The open drain you see is not a drain, it is infact a river called cooum. So much that the first few days of my stay in Chennai I thought the meaning of “cooum” was drainage! ROTFL! :D
Prashanth M:
ROTFL! :)
Let us google it out! :)
Yet again an opportunity to quote this famous line, “There are three kinds of lies: Lies, Big Lies, and Statistics”…
Hope it is true!
Chennai rated India’s cleanliest city!
Woh……..Lucky U…this should encourage to extend your stay in chennai for atleast 2 more decades
Enjoy Kanuuuu

Vikas:
Good one! :)
Pradeep:
Do you really believe in that?
VamC:
Definitely not. Jaise mouka mile na, idhar se kalTi re bhidu!
Today there is one article published in local newspaper which mentions Central government awarded Pune as the “greenest” city in India.
The same newspaper has another news, which says according to central pollution control board, Pune is the most polluted city in Maharashtra.
ROTFL :)
Yogesh:
